Arrival by train
With the Appenzell Holiday Card (included with stays of 3 nights or more), you can travel for free and comfortably. Even without the card, the train ride is pleasant and without any stress. Urnäsch has its own train station! The Appenzell Railways serve Gossau or Appenzell/Wasserauen, and the PostBus goes toward Schwägalp (connection to Toggenburg). If you have a lot of luggage or don’t want to walk the 8 minutes to the BnB, we’ll be happy to pick you up at the station. Many excursions can be taken by public transportation: Aescher, Wildkirchli, Appenzell, Säntis, Hohen Kasten, Ebenalp, Kronberg, hiking, swimming pools, museums, etc.
Urnäsch Pump Track
100 m from the BnB, for girls and boys of all ages, a brand new pump track was recently built. Skilfully created by professionals from Flims, the track is available to children and young people free of charge.
